Dragon

While checking out old Swedish wall decorations, I decided to try to visualise how a wiking dragon from the old rune stones would look if it was not flat and very 2D. It was a lot of fun, but very hard to get the isight camera to pick up the drawing well, as it was drawn very softly with a pen. I tried fixing it in photoshop, but it was useless. -_-’

Second part of sketches from Bordeaux

Here is the second picture I did while in Bordeaux, France.

It was this lovely restaurant and café on one of the squares, tucked away between some streets.

Harry Potter Doujinshis on track again

Hello! I’ve been very silent recently. I do have an excuse :) I have stay in Stockholm due to work. Now finally I have settled down a little bit :) This weekend except going home to celebrate Midsummer I also took the opportunity to fetch some drawing materials with me to Stockholm. Now I have the Harry Potter doujinshi with me so I can continue to work on it ^^

Quick sketch from Bordeaux ^_^

Last week I was in Bordeaux, France, taking it easy and seeing some of the local sites (ok, so we walked past a lot of the sites and didn’t actually visit any of the sites except the customs museum, but that counts, right?).

I took the chance to do a sketch of a famous clock tower just beside the Victor Hugo street. Again, just a quick sketch on the run, so sorry for parts being easier to see then others. -_-’ Gomen!

I’ll see when I can take a photo of the other sketch I did, for you guys.

Close up of my latest colour picture ^_^

As you have probably all seen by now, I’ve been working on a new colour picture lately. It’s done with brown ink and water colour.

It’s been ages since I did anything proper in water colour, since before I moved to Ireland even! @_@ It’s been all black and white for so long now that I was bored with it.

I’ve taken a bunch of pics while I was working so I’ll be making a “in the making” picture show later for you guys. For now I’ll leave you with a close up of some of the details.

I’ll have to wait with scanning it in properly until I can get a hold of Neko and ask her to help me flatten the paper for me a bit, as I, of course, managed to completely fail with the stretching. T_T One day I will get it right! *_*

Another quick sketch ^_^

Lately I’ve started bringing a book with me in my bag, trying to motivate myself to do more sketching, especially of buildings and people. I want to get a better feel for depth and volume. They are nothing fancy, just quick sketches on the run.

So I figured sharing them would probably make it easier to, and it might be fun to see where I’ve been. ^_^

this one is of one of the bridges in Cork, Ireland, over the river lee.

Character study for Prästen project

I’ve started sketching on the character design for my new manga project, Prästen. Prästen means the Priest in Swedish, for anyone out there who don’t understand Swedish. ^_^

I’ve had a pretty specific idea on the characters since I started the project, but it’s first now that I’ve actually drawn them and seen what they look like on paper. So far it’s going pretty good. I’ve also had to do some research into historical clothing just to get some details right. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten most of the things I wanted somewhat close to the real things. I’ve never been more happy that the Swedish national museum has started making their databases, with pictures of the items searchable via the internet and open to the public. ^_^

A week ago I opened up some of the files I’d been working on, for the project, and they where corrupted. I have to redo them at some point. -_-’ Hopefully you’ll get to see some pictures from the project soon!

Mmm, snack <3

I’ve been a little into asian snacks while drawing lately and I’d like to share my new favourite bun with everyone. ^_^ It’s a chinese type of snack that you steam cook (I have a microwave thingy ^_^’ ) and you can have different filling, the one you see here on top is a plain one. My latest joy is a chicken BBQ filling.

Prezies from Japan ^_^

Some months back Neko was in Japan (lucky her!) taking it easy (who am I trying to kid? she was probably all over the place) and taking in the sites (Mmmm, cute bishounen boys <3 ).

Freehand Drawing at Bunratty Castle

I was at Bunratty Castle this weekend and while there, in a smoky pub called Dirty Nelly, where the light was close to none existent, I decided to cuddle up beside the open fire they had and do a very quick sketch of the place.

It’s not much, but I figured you guys would enjoy a bit of random doodles, if nothing else. ^_^

Sorry for being so bad at it, hopefully I’ll get better with time. -_-’
