There is a bit more to work with before it’s done, but it’s really starting to take shape, don’t you think?
Neko has started to say it’s her favourite picture of mine. ^_^
I like the one with the priest having a bath and going “Noooooo!” on the right. It looks so funnily in the moment.

Darn I’m being good lately! ^_^
I’ve gotten a bit more colour on the pic. It’s starting to look like this might not turn out half bad. :P

So, it’s colour time!
I’ve finally decided on what colours my fake folk costumes should have. ^_^ white fluffy-armed shirt, blue west and grey trousers. I haven’t decided on the colour of the socks yet, but I might just go with boring white as that would look good with the rest of it. shoes are black.
I wonder if there is folk clothing in Sweden with this design and colour… hmm… better not think about it.

I’ve been looking around my local art shops for this rubber but I can never find it, so I usually end up importing it from Sweden. A bit of a bother, but completely worth it in the long run.
If you have to sit there for 10 pages +, trying to get rid of all the pencil marks, there is nothing that beats this rubber. Usually after about page 2-3 my shoulder starts hurting and I start feeling miserable, that is usually when I loose my concentration and accidentally pull the paper wrong and end up with either ripping the paper or bending it.
This doesn’t happen with this rubber. It’s so soft and lovely that it’s a dream to work with. You do use up a big portion of it very fast, and they can be a bit pricey compared to other rubbers, but for large areas it’s completely worth it.

Yay! I’ve worked a bit more on the pic and wanted to show you guys!
I just started inking it. I decided to ink it in brown ink instead of black to give it a calmer look.
I’m feeling all prod!

It’s been a while since I worked on the pic, but it’s time to show off a little bit. :P
I worked a bit more on it and I’d love to hear what you think. ^_^

For anyone going to Nom-Con in Dublin next weekend, feel free to come and listen to my panel on Sunday, 13:30 -14:30!
I’ve made a completely new talk called “Exposed! Japanese Mangaka’s – truth and fiction” where I’ll take a look at some of the common misconceptions about Japanese comic artists and manga. The panel is made so that it should work well for both comic artists and manga fans that would like to know more about the drawing side or manga.
Hope to see you there! ^_^

I decided to test drawing on the iPad a couple of weeks ago and you all saw the result, pretty ok for a first try.
Drawing on an iPad is a lot more natural then drawing on a normal wacom board. There is not the displacement of hand working on table and you looking up, to get use to.
I used a pogo sketch pen and that took me a couple of minutes to get use to the big contact point and where that will actually leave the line. :P but didn’t take me to long to get use to, even though every now and again I have to stop and redo a couple of lines as they are showing up in the wrong place.
The drawing programs on the iPad are very responsive and draw with no bothersome lagg.
Only problem so far is that I prefer to draw in pixel based programs as I like the line quality, not to artificially perfect, but only the vector based apps are currently outputting in print quality. :/
I guess there is always something. ^_^’
Yay! Neko’s back! With more reference pics! ^_^

I’ve been very busy with family and work. But finally everything is calming down. I just went karaoke at my sister’s place last saturday. And then had friends come over at my place to have dinner together. But this week I’ve decided to be asocial and finally try to get some things done!
I finally sorted the pictures I took when I went to France, Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark with my family and relatives during summer vacation. I think I’ll be able to upload them on Thursday :D I totally fell in love with Notre Dame <3 It’s very beautiful *__*
