New illustration! ^_^

Yay, I finally got around to digitalizing a picture I finished some time ago. It’s made with ink, watercolour and a special type of colouring power that I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called.

Updated CV

I decided to update the CR with the stuff from BroCon and also added some links to interviews and what not. ^_^ look I can be efficient! ^_~

Sorry for the few updates this week. I’ve been working on the priest comic and also a slide show for a new talk I’m working on.

Nom-con in Dublin

I just decided to go to Nom-con in Dublin at the end of August. I’ve been talking about it ever since I was at BroCon and found out about it.
Well yesterday I had enough of my own whining and bought the flight tickets so now that’s final.
I don’t know how long I’ll stay in Ireland but I’ve decided to just go to as many con’s I can while I’m here.

Now I just have to decide if I want to do any talks at the con. ^_^’

Pictures from the BroCon Workshop!

As I said in an earlier post, 16 people came to the workshop and later to the panel about manga in Sweden there came another happy crowd of about 16. I got a massive room to be in, so the 16 people looked very lonely. -_-’ We had a great time though and I got to meet some lovely people, so that was great.

I hope everyone thought it was fun and I have a feeling one or who people will be applying to Swedish comic schools next year. ^_~

New picture for Prästen

I did a new picture for prästen. It’s a concept type of picture so it’s a bit artsy…

For anyone wondering, I actually made it on my iPad using a vector based drawing app called Paintbook. It was a lot harder getting the lines alive on this app then the sketchbook app that I’ve been playing around with on my ipod touch. You will all soon see the result from my ipod touch drawing soon. ^_^ Just need to finish one or two things more….

Update of Prinsen manga

Guess what! Update time!

New page up on the English version of Prinsen, and the Swedish version has been added up until page 4, so the English and Swedish versions are on the same page now. ^_^

The project is not an active one, but we do add pages every now and again. Go and get it!

YaY! I just got the email from Ikikata.se and the article I wrote for them regarding BroCon is up on the site! ^_^

I haven’t written articles in forever and I’d forgotten how much work but also how much fun it is. I’m definitely doing that again.

BroCon Interview: Selene

I had a quick sit down with Selene, a budding talent, at Limericks BroCon. Selene has been drawing since she was 13 but changed drawing style to manga when she was 14. Today Selene is trying to develop her own style but still keeping true to shoujo, as she finds manga characters too generic.

Manga review: Love Control 1&2

The perverted bear Kumakun is back and ready to review all the BL manga he can get a hold of for your guys. First out is Love Control.

Story resolves around the interior decorator  Yamashiro and the bar and restaurant owner Okumura’s love affair.
Both characters are quite stubborn and in the beginning I was worried that this would stop the story from moving forward or make it a bit boring. Thankfully this is not the case and the uke is only stubborn to a point and then slides over to being cute and embarrassed, so the same can figure out what is going on.

THE Kumakun is Back!

Kumakun is a long time ReYa blogist and use to write for the Ai – Love and Pain section of our site, but has been tragicly quiet lately.

Well, no more! Last week when I was in Sweden for a couple of days, he told me “Strawberry, I can’t stand reading your bad excuse for updates any longer and by the way, you draw way to slow! I’m going to fly over with you and make sure something worth reading gets updated and I might as well keep an eye so you actually do some drawing, you idiot!” Well, I had little choice in the matter after that proclamation.
