Pictures from the BroCon Workshop!

As I said in an earlier post, 16 people came to the workshop and later to the panel about manga in Sweden there came another happy crowd of about 16. I got a massive room to be in, so the 16 people looked very lonely. -_-’ We had a great time though and I got to meet some lovely people, so that was great.

I hope everyone thought it was fun and I have a feeling one or who people will be applying to Swedish comic schools next year. ^_~

Massive! ^_^’

Article about BroCon is up on ikikata.se

YaY! I just got the email from Ikikata.se and the article I wrote for them regarding BroCon is up on the site! ^_^

I haven’t written articles in forever and I’d forgotten how much work but also how much fun it is. I’m definitely doing that again.

BroCon Interview: Selene

I had a quick sit down with Selene, a budding talent, at Limericks BroCon. Selene has been drawing since she was 13 but changed drawing style to manga when she was 14. Today Selene is trying to develop her own style but still keeping true to shoujo, as she finds manga characters too generic.

BroCon 2010: Cosplay!

So while I was at BroCon I took the chance of taking pictures of all the Cosplayers I could see. There where quite a number of them, considering this was the first time the con was going. ^_^

Have a look!

BroCon Interview: Sophie O’Gara

Between the bustling of the artist alley tables during BroCon, Sophie and I sat down to have a talk about it all. Sophie is an artist, president of the Anime and Manga society at Limerick University and also one of the organizers of BroCon.

BroCon Interview: Ciaran Lucas

I took the chance to have a sit down and talk comics with Ciaran Lucas at BroCon in Limerick. Ciaran has been making a living as a digital artist since 2007. So far he has mostly been working as a Colorist and inker. Some of the comics he has been working on are Jenna Blue, Vincent Price and Angel (as in the comic version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin off), but also children’s illustrations for school books and for the Irish scouts.

Why I don’t normally go to many Cons

I just got home from the con (I’ll post pics and stuff later this week) and realized why I generally don’t go to too many cons.

It was once again a bitter sweet realization. ^_^’

I’ll be eating noodles for the rest of the week… Sorry Neko, I think I’ll be busy with… eh… um… work! for the next couple of days. ^_~

Are you ready for BroCon 2010?

I hope everyone who it going to BroCon, (Limerick, Ireland) is as excited as I am!

I’ve already announced that I’m doing a workshop there for anyone wanting to learn how to make cool high detailed backgrounds in no time and I’m also doing a talk about manga in Sweden. This will be the first time I do a talk like that and especially about manga in Sweden. I’m use to living it, not talking about it. ^_^’

It’s funny, the more I look, the more there is that I’d like to talk about, but I only have an hour! -_-’

I hope some of you will find the talk interesting!
