How to Fight Procrastination – Part 3 of 7

My journey to create a new healthy habit of drawing everyday continues. It’s day three, and it’s been surprisingly easy to keep the practice so far. Is it the new year starting strong with new energy? Or did I crack the code of myself?

I think it’s a bit of both. I got inspired by a podcast, “Happier with Gretchen Rubin”, I started listening on my way to work. I’ve listened to 15 episodes so far and for each episode, it gives out a quick tip that I’ve found very useful.

One of them is the One Minute Rule. The rule goes like this… anything that takes 60 seconds or less, should be done right away. For all its simplicity, the One Minute Rule has really helped me de-clutter my life. When my environment is organised I feel that my life itself is more organised. And doing those little chores created a sense of accomplishment. It made me felt that I can take on the next thing and the next thing and the next. I felt more open to doing other things that I have felt like procrastinating before. The One Minute Rule created a positive snowball effect. It’s a simple yet effective tool for fighting procrastination. And all it takes is one minute ❤️

I searched Pinterest for inspiration and ended up with this design for the cover art.
